1 DECEMBER 2009: CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR CLOSURE

The Museum will be closed for Christmas and New Year from 12.30 p.m. Friday 18 December to 10 a.m. Monday 4 January 2010. The Museum staff wish all Friends of the Museum, visitors, users and colleagues a Happy Christmas and a successful and fulfilling year ahead.

23 NOVEMBER 2009: RECEIPT OF RENAISSANCE SOUTH EAST GRANT

The Museum is pleased to announce that it has received a Renaissance South East (Hampshire & Isle of Wight Museum Development Service) grant of £928 for the purchase of oral recording equipment and training in its use.

Training will take place on 15 February 2010 after which a Museum volunteer will initiate a series of oral recording interviews with veterans of the Regiment who took part in the Brunei Revolt and Indonesian Confrontation in Borneo between 1962 and 1966.
